Sustained high temperature is the only method proven to kill all bed bugs and their eggs. Pesticide bed bug treatments are hit and miss at best and often require up to three visits. Not only are bedbugs developing resistance to chemical pesticides, but the procedure requires significant preparation and leaves behind toxic residues.
Bed bugs are survivalists. They have become expert at hiding it concealed areas where chemicals can’t reach. The heat that our technology generates can literally permeate every item in the treatment area (furniture, clothing, bedding, draperies etc.). And, none of these (or any other items) need to be discarded after the treatment.
Bed bugs and eggs die once air temperatures reach the “kill zone” of 125F (52°C). Our process uses forced convection technology to produce sustained temperatures of up to 145°F. This means that “kill zone” heat is produced quickly and uniformly pumped through the treatment area ensuring the death of ALL bed bugs and bed bug eggs in a matter of moments. Our peak temperature technology ensures that even hard to reach areas come up to kill zone temperature. With pesticide treatments, bugs have been known to simply leave the area and return when it’s safe – one of the reasons it often takes multiple applications and several visits. Since bed bugs are attracted to increasing heat (it’s how they locate their meal), they stay in the kill zone, ensuring total annihilation in one visit. Rather than trying to escape, they emerge from hiding and move toward the heat source. Any that remain in hiding are still killed instantly as soon as the ambient temperature reaches the kill zone.
